The Wayfair US CRM team is responsible for all email, app push, and SMS communications between Wayfair and our customers. Within this team, the Recs & Analytics role will sit under the WFUS Email team and report to the Email Lead. The role will be responsible for leading our most technical workstreams–partnering with PMs, Data Scientists, and Engineers from Search & Recs, Intel, Content & Delivery to enhance our marketing capabilities. What You'll Do
- Lead personalization efforts through partnering with Search & Recs in the development of new and improved personalization models. You will be the primary marketing representative in communicating the optimal customer experience and working closely with PMs, Data Scientists, and Engineers to bring it to life.
- Lead send decisioning improvements through collaborating with Customer Intelligence to optimize our send decisioning models, as we work towards an intelligent, cross-channel send decisioning model to optimize short-term conversion and long-term list health.
- Enhance our platform capabilities through partnering with our Platform team to lead email migration efforts and build enhancements to support our next gen vision for the channels.
- Maintain our relationship with our 3rd party deliverability vendor, working through ad hoc deliverability issues and improving our long-term strategy.
- Become an expert in our data sources and lead investigations into performance on a necessary basis.
- Interface with any of the above technical partners when instabilities arise, driving for quick solutions for performance-impacting issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, the Sciences, or other concentrations with a quantitative focus.
- 4 years of experience ideally in a data-driven marketing role, management consulting, startup/tech, finance, and/or strategy fields. Experience with email marketing is a plus.
- Deep SQL knowledge, basics in Python, heavy Google Sheets/Excel usage; excitement about using data to support your hypotheses.
- An interest in getting inside the head of the customer–to understand how they think, what their needs are, what motivates them–and tailor communications to them to build lasting, long-term relationships with the brand.
- Excellent critical thinking and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to independently own and execute on solutions to complex problems.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, learn quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
