Position Summary:

The National Account Manager is responsible for managing and developing relationships with large, national-level clients. This role will focus on driving sales, negotiating contracts, executing sales strategies, and ensuring client satisfaction while acting as the primary point of contact between the company and the client. The National Account Manager position is a permanent, full-time position.

Essential Functions:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at large national accounts.
  • Create and execute comprehensive sales plans tailored to each national account.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing to secure profitable deals.
  • Understand the specific needs and challenges of each national account to align products and services accordingly.
  • Forecast sales volume and revenue for national accounts.
  • Manage customer accounts, address concerns, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies.
  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and other internal teams to support sales efforts.

Education, Training, and Experience Required:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or similar field.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience handling key food service or ingredient accounts; both branded and private label.
  • Ability travel and be hands on in a small emerging business.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Able to work independently with little supervision as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent task prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation.
  • Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to utilize computer skills including software for word-processing, spreadsheet creation and maintenance, database utilization and specialized business applications.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift weights up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
  • Repetitive micro-movements involving the limbs.
  • Repetitive motion involving the muscles, joints or ligaments.
  • Climb steps to mezzanine/kettles.
  • Regularly place pressure on one muscle or joint.
  • Frequently stand, sit, bend, squat, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Operate a computer and office equipment.

Working Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to indoor office conditions, an indoor garage facility, and outdoors in all types of weather conditions and temperature variations. Worker may be exposed to grease, dirt, gas fumes, sun, and inclement weather and the normal hazards that are present in working with machinery and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can sometimes be loud. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration. The employee must maintain shop in an orderly, clean, and safe condition.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
