Compensation:
- In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Role Summary
As a Parent Partner, you will be pivotal in supporting children, youth, and families facing life’s toughest challenges. Whether you provide hands-on case management, help to develop life skills, or provide emotional support, your work will directly impact the lives of those we serve.
- This is a part-time (16-24 hours/week) position, eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus paid in two installments.

How you will Impact Change:
- Assist in the recruitment of prospective families with recognition of potential concerns and/or needs within the family and conduct assessment during intakes.
- Promote and assist in the connection of families to available resources for permanency families and children including legal resources, mental health education, respite care and counseling. Referring families to resources during initial intake, ongoing communication, and bi-annual check-ins. Attend Community partnership meeting and resource committee to stay updated on available resources. Keeps up clothes closet as a viable resource.
- Act as a resource for families regarding referrals and agency policies and procedures. Referring families to resources during initial intake, ongoing communication, and bi-annual check-ins.
- Collaborate with the Case Manager, Kinship Navigator, or other staff in the evaluation of families, the provision of services and their progress. Referring families to resources during initial intake, ongoing communication, bi-annual check-ins, team meetings, and at the request of a staff member.
- May transport clients as needed. This includes helping transport caregivers or youth to appointments and events.
Qualifications
Education and Credentials
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least two years of experience as a kin or adoptive caregiver, five years are preferred.
- Two years of experience working with families and the community is preferred.
- Valid CA Driver License with a minimum of two (2) years good driving history and must be approved by the agency’s insurance carrier to drive agency vehicles.
