Compensation:
- In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Role Summary
As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will be pivotal in supporting children, youth, and families facing life’s toughest challenges. Whether you provide hands-on case management, help to develop life skills, or provide emotional support, your work will directly impact the lives of those we serve.

How you will Impact Change:
- Perform advanced maintenance and repair work on the facility and equipment, including plumbing, painting, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, HVAC systems, and other maintenance tasks while adhering to safety standards.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to Maintenance Technician II staff and other junior technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices in maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
- Conduct daily safety inspections of fleet vehicles, building systems and equipment, and participate in routine inspections and maintenance of the entire campus.
- Assist in moving furniture, boxes, and other items as necessary, and ensure maintenance supplies are replenished and properly stored in work areas.
- Ability to travel locally to satellite WFS locations and attend off-site meetings, conferences and other job-related events.
Qualifications
Education and Credentials
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of five years experience in the maintenance field, with a broad skill set in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, HVAC, and general maintenance work is required.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes and safety regulations, including compliance requirements for American Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations.
- Advanced knowledge of maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Proven ability to mentor and train less experienced staff.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex maintenance issues.
- Valid CA Driver License with a minimum of two (2) years of good driving history and must be approved by the agency’s insurance carrier to drive agency vehicles.
