Compensation:
- In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
- This is a part-time position budgeted for 29 hours/week with a varied schedule (weekend and evening availability, as needed).

As a Social Worker, you will be pivotal in supporting children, youth, and families facing life’s toughest challenges. Whether you provide hands-on case management, help to develop life skills, or provide emotional support, your work will directly impact the lives of those we serve.

How you will Impact Change:
- Assesses county-referred applicants to become an approved Resource Family.
- Conducts a home environment assessment, and psychosocial assessment, and prepare a written report. Incorporate an assessment of an applicant’s mental health and substance abuse into the risk assessment.
- Provides ongoing assessments of family needs and makes appropriate referrals to services such as counseling, support groups, and other applicable services and coordinates with county workers and/or other community agencies to identify assistance funding services.
- Maintains accurate and thorough records of all services provided and document all assessments, meetings, decisions, and reports.
- Communicates needs, services, and progress with the referring agency, service provider, and applicants.
- Provides therapeutic interventions on an ongoing basis and during crises.
Qualifications
Education and Credentials
- Master’s Degree from an accredited university in social work or social welfare, marriage, family and child counseling, child psychology, child development, counseling psychology, or social psychology is required.
- Bilingual (Spanish), required.
- Valid CA Driver License with a minimum of two (2) years good driving history and must be approved by the agency’s insurance carrier to drive agency vehicles.
