Compensation:
- In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
- This is a part-time position budgeted for 25 hours/week.
Role Summary
As a Visitation Coach Specialist, you will be pivotal in supporting children, youth, and families facing life’s toughest challenges. Whether you provide hands-on case management, help to develop life skills, or provide emotional support, your work will directly impact the lives of those we serve.

How you will Impact Change:
- Facilitate visitation in a variety of settings such as the parent’s home, community and visitation office.
- Provide ongoing assessment of parent interaction with the child and provide coaching and support to the parent increasing knowledge of positive/safe parenting skills; ability/confidence to provide safe and nurturing environment and improve parent/child attachment.
- Use Protective Factors and Nurturing Parenting Program (NPP) Framework with families.
- Implement trauma-informed and culturally appropriate interventions that increase the ability of parents to interact safely with their children and develop positive and safe parenting skills.
- Provide therapeutic interventions on an ongoing basis while facilitating visits.
- May transport clients as needed.
Qualifications
Education and Credentials
- At a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent is required. A bachelor’s degree in social work or a directly related field from an accredited university is preferred.
- Coursework or work experience with children, family, and child welfare is preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish), required.
- Valid CA Driver License with a minimum of two (2) years good driving history and must be approved by the agency’s insurance carrier to drive agency vehicles.
