Job Overview
The Wayland Post is looking for an experienced salesperson to support our mission of providing news and information to the Wayland community. This is a new part-time job with flexible hours and some time working from home--perfect for a parent with children in school! The ad rep must be someone in the Metro-West Boston area who can build relationships with local business owners and represent the newspaper in a professional manner. The person in this position is part of a team working to start a new business, so providing constructive feedback and being flexible is a must!
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking and relationship building.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their marketing goals and objectives.
- Manage client accounts, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Work closely with the Wayland Post team to establish the newspaper as a community resource for advertisers and residents
Requirements
- Experience in sales or advertising, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients.
- A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Residency in the Metro-West Boston area, as in-person meetings with clients will be necessary.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 per week
