Happy Hollow Elementary School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated educational leader to serve as the Assistant Principal while also contributing as the district Elementary Math and Science Coordinator. This dual-role position provides an exciting opportunity to support both instructional leadership and student learning in a collaborative and forward-thinking school community.
Key Responsibilities:
Assistant Principal:
- Support the school principal in providing instructional leadership and day-to-day administration.
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that prioritizes student success and well-being.
- Assist with teacher coaching, professional development, and curriculum implementation.
- Oversee student behavior management, including proactive interventions and restorative practices.
- Engage families and the broader school community to strengthen home-school partnerships.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support equity and access for all students.
Math & Science Coordinator:
- Provide instructional support to teachers in math and science, promoting best practices in STEM education.
- Analyze student data to identify instructional needs and guide targeted interventions.
- Support the development and implementation of innovative math and science curricula.
- Promote inquiry-based learning and problem-solving strategies in math and science instruction.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field.
- Valid administrative certification/license as required by the state.
- Experience in elementary education, with a strong background in math and science instruction.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in an educational setting.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in instructional coaching and professional development.
- Knowledge of best practices in student-centered learning and STEM education.
- Familiarity with multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and data-driven decision-making.
