Schedule : On-call; Shelter is 24 / 7 - must be available for graveyards, weekends, and evening shiftsMental Health Specialist (On-Call)Responsibilities include : Work with at-risk youth at 24 / 7 Youth Shelters, in short-term crisis intervention program for children ages 12-17 and young adults ages 18-25.Supervise youth, lead educational and recreational activities, and facilitate group counseling sessions.Prepare meals, complete cleaning chores, and maintain facility.Requirements include : High School Diploma, College Degree preferred.1-3 years related experience in child development or a professional work environment with at-risk children.Team player who is extremely organized.Excellent boundaries and ability to handle crisis situations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Approved TB Test / Health Screen, CPR and First Aid certificate (may be completed after employment.)Valid California driver’s license, auto liability insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.Starting pay range : $25.75 - $28.33 per hourWaymakers is a "Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) qualified employer."
