The Router team develops technologies, algorithms, ML models and infrastructure to produce routes from point A to point B that are safe, compliant and efficient. We ensure our Waymo One cars can operate in dozens of cities under all driving conditions. We are also responsible for destination management and inter-operating with the Waymo one application offboard. We are mission-critical to Waymo's operation. You will address challenging problems in autonomous driving by collaborating with other Planner teams.
You will :
- Manage, mentor and technically lead a team of software engineers and managers to ensure the Router team's success.
- Set the vision to evolve the infrastructure, evaluation metrics, ML models and routing algorithms
- Develop the strategy for safe, compliant destination management.and efficient routing for any city in all weather conditions.
- Partner across our teams in Planner, Perception, Simulation and Research teams to provide optimal end-to-end performance.

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
