Salary Grade: Specialist
Duties: Represents the bank to the customers in a courteous and professional manner. Provides prompt, efficient, and accurate services to customers. Responsible for the direct supervision of teller personnel engaged in the processing of customer transactions. Ensures that tellers have a thorough knowledge of bank products to better service the customer. Establishes sales goals, supports staff in cross selling and assist tellers in the development of sales contracts. Coordinates the activities of the teller operations area by assigning work, answering questions, helping with complex transactions and sensitive customer relations problems, explaining policies and procedures to customers. Responsible for the scheduling of tellers and ensures that each teller balances at the close of each business day and all monies are secured in line with established security procedures.
Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal skills, and basic computer knowledge. Controls vault cash assuring that a proper supply of vault cash is maintained, verifying cash received and shipped, keeps an inventory of Cashier's Checks, Money Orders, Travelers Checks and other negotiable instruments for use in teller area.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years prior banking experience normally required.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. 2 or 4 year degree preferred.
