Performs skilled operations in the repair and overhaul of gasoline and diesel motor equipment, including cars, trucks, tractors, buses and other school equipment.
Ensures all vehicles are maintained in accordance with DOT standards, identifies issues to be corrected and makes recommendations to the Head Mechanic.
Assists in the maintenance of the physical building and grounds.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
May act as a substitute school bus as needed.
Requirements :
- Must be 21 years of age
- Hold current CDL license, Class B license or training is available
- Satisfy Civil Service & DMV Article 19 qualifications
- Have a clean driving record.
- Demonstrates ability to work with children, staff and community.
