What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Supervisor position at Wayne County Care Center?
Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Days: five 8-hour shifts (40 hours does include weekend rotation)
The Wayne County Care Center is currently accepting applications for the position of full time RN – Shift Supervisor for the County’s 50 bed skilled.
Responsibilities of the RN supervisor:
· Planning, organizing and directing the overall operation for the Nursing Department during the shift
· Keep the facility staff in compliance with regulations that govern the facility
· Ensure patient care is handled appropriately, including documentation and procedures, in a timely manner
· Follow care plans, do rounds with the Dr. and enter orders
· Communicate with other staff to ensure residents are provided with the best experience possible
· Ensure that staff are mentored to provide constant, quality resident care
· Must participate in facility inspections as needed and perform administrative duties
Requirements of RN supervisor:
· Valid RN license
· Minimum 1-year health care experience, in a supervisory role
· Experience in Point Click Care preferred
· Compassion for and commitment to hospitality, service and excellence in senior care
· Ability to be a responsible and dependable team member who can take direction well
· Adaptable and able to work under pressure
