What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Attendant (24-32 hours per week) position at Wayne County Commissioners?

The Wayne County Commissioners are currently accepting employment applications for the position of Kennel Attendant. The hours for this position will be approximately 24-32 hours per week including Saturdays and some holidays.

- Cleaning and sanitizing kennels
- Providing food and water for the dogs
- Assisting in the cleaning of the shelter and play yard
- Exercising the dogs
- Must be willing to work hard in all types of weather
- Must be willing to work with and around all types of dogs, including potentially dangerous ones.
- Health Benefits not eligible with this position
- 8-hour days (3 days on then 3 days off)
- Hours are 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Starting wage is $15.00/hour.
