What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Health Nurse Supervisor position at Wayne County Government, North Carolina?
- The position provides management and supervision to the Women’s Health clinic staff, which includes the Maternity and Family Planning Program Coordinators. This position is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring staff compliance to policies, procedures, protocol, and standing orders. Assures Maternity and Family Planning health standards are adhered to and quality care is provided. Works effectively as a member of the department; maintains the highest standards of professionalism; cooperates with co-workers to improve the quality of work and works diligently to improve the department’s processes and procedures. This position is directly supervised by the Director of Nursing. Generally, this position works 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday; however, the work schedule must be flexible to perform the job or in the event of an emergency, must be available for call-in during and throughout a declared emergency, Public Health event, and/or preparedness exercise as designated by the Health Director or County Manager.
