What are the responsibilities and job description for the COMMUNITY OUTREACH ASSISTANT position at Wayne County Government?
Purpose/Description
The Community Outreach Assistant in the Wayne County Treasurer's Office will assist at community outreach activities and events to educate the community/taxpayers on Wayne County Treasurer's Office foreclosure programs and services. This position will assist with handling computers and other equipment at offsite events and will be responsible for driving the WCTO mobile office vehicle. This position will also assist the Community Outreach Department Executive with mailings, handouts, and other clerical items. The Community Outreach Assistant reports to the Department Executive, Community Outreach.
Required Tasks
- Assist staff and participate at community outreach activities and events to educate the community/taxpayers on WCTO foreclosure programs and services
- Maintain inventory of all outreach materials and replenish when necessary
- Prepare informational packets for outreach engagements and community partners
- Assist with the set up and breakdown of laptops, printers, and internet connectivity at mobile office vehicle.
- Drive the WCTO mobile office vehicle.
- Perform any other related duties assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a Chauffeurs License
