The Wayne County Probate Court is looking for a BHU Administrative Assistant- Under the direction of the BHU Liaison, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting the functions of the Behavioral Health Unit as well as the customer service relations in the Probate Court.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in personal computer software, i.e., Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Internet Explorer, SmartSheets, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, and self-directed.
- Ability to maintain complex and confidential records.
- Ability to remain calm under demanding conditions and pressure.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers, the judiciary, court administration, and external organizations.
Annual Salary: $39,250

GENERAL INFORMATION: Management will make all determinations as to what assessments will be used to establish qualifications. Application must be made on an application form which may be obtained from the Wayne County Probate Court Human Resources Office or downloaded from the WCPC SharePoint Home Page and accompanied by a cover letter and résumé. The application may be used both for determining admission to the examination, if applicable, and for assistance in rating qualifications and ability to do the job. Applicants will be notified of the time and place of the examination, if applicable. If you are handicapped, you must notify the Employer in writing of the need for accommodation in connection with job duties. Permanent appointees must satisfactorily complete a trial period of at least nine (9) months before obtaining regular status in the position and a nine (9) month probationary period if applicable.
