Stipend : $175 per day

We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic, passionate, and dynamic educators to join our 2025 Summer Enrichment Program! We are offering exciting opportunities to work with middle school students and guide them through hands-on learning experiences. The summer camps will be full of exploration, fun, and engagement, and we need your expertise to help shape these adventures. Career Adventures Overview

Dates : June 16-19, 2025

Location : Greenwood Middle School

Career Adventures is a high-energy four-day camp where students dive into the world of careers! This immersive experience is designed for 20 rising 6th to 8th grade students from Wayne County Public Schools. Over four days, students will explore different career pathways (such as Agriculture, Health Science, etc.), participate in exciting activities, and complete a culminating project presentation.

Camp Details :

Dates : June 16-19, 2025
Time : 8 : 00 AM – 3 : 00 PM (Activities : 8 : 30 AM – 2 : 30 PM)
Staffing : Each day, a Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher and Career Development Coordinator (CDC) will guide students through engaging activities.
Day 1-4 : Each day focuses on a different career, including hands-on activities and learning projects.

Teacher Responsibilities :

Lead hands-on activities for the students

Help facilitate the culminating showcase project

Ensure students’ safety and well-being during the camp

Act as a role model for students interested in various career paths

Be creative and dynamic, ensuring an exciting and interactive learning experience!

Teacher Stipend : $175 / day

Teachers per Day : 1 Teacher and 1 CDC

Teachers assist CDC with project presentations) Construction Adventures Overview

Dates : June 16-19, 2025

Location : Greenwood Middle School

Get ready for some serious hands-on fun! The Construction Adventures camp is a four-day summer program where 20 rising 6th to 8th grade students get the chance to roll up their sleeves and work on a live construction project at the school. This is an exciting opportunity to immerse students in the construction trades with real-world, hands-on experience.

Camp Details :

Dates : June 16-19, 2025

Time : 8 : 00 AM – 3 : 00 PM (Activities : 8 : 30 AM – 2 : 30 PM)

Staffing : Each day, three teachers and a CDC will work together to manage the camp.

Project : Students will be involved in a live construction project at Greenwood Middle School, supervised by the staff.

Teacher Responsibilities :

Help guide students in a hands-on construction project

Support students throughout their learning process

Lead students in activities related to construction trades

Ensure safety while students are involved in the project

Collaborate with the team to ensure an engaging and fun learning environment!

Teacher Stipend : $175 / day

Teachers per Day : 3 Teachers

Teachers help the CDC with project presentation) Career Development Coordinator (CDC) Role

The Career Development Coordinator (CDC) is an essential part of both the Career and Construction Adventures camps. The CDC oversees the overall success of the camps, ensuring everything runs smoothly while keeping safety and fun at the forefront.

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare and organize camp facilities for both students and staff

Assist with student transitions and ensure a smooth flow throughout the day

Troubleshoot any issues that may arise and address disciplinary concerns

Ensure student safety during arrival, activities, and departure

Take photos and document the camp experience

Act as the main contact for parents before and during the camp

Collaborate with teachers to prepare for the culminating activity on the final day

Help the teachers with the project presentations and ensure all aspects of the camp are delivered successfully

CDC Stipend : $175 / day

Each day, CDC and teachers ensure a smooth presentation of student projects) Career and Construction Responsibilities of Teachers

As a teacher for the Career Adventures or Construction Adventures programs, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the students' experience. You will :

Be the primary point of contact for program coordinators and families

Assist in curriculum selection and lesson plan development (with prior approval)

Lead students through exciting activities that align with the camp's focus

Prepare materials and set up activities before the camp

Ensure a fun and safe learning environment

Work independently to provide a positive, impactful experience for the students

Minimum Education / Experience Required :

Current WCPS teacher, Career Development Coordinator, or administrator

Prior experience in the subject area

Strong leadership skills

Ability to work independently and without supervision
