Position: Transporter
Classification: Full-time hourly
Reports to: Facility Administrator
General Information:
The Transporter is to safely transport residents to appointments or any activity that is scheduled. The Transporter follows protocol that includes transportation procedures, safety and security; maintaining direct supervision of youth; ensuring mechanical hardware is safely stored following transport; vehicle inspections; showing proper boundaries and engagement with youth.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Provide transportation for clients daily to scheduled medical, dental, or court appointments.
· Keep transportation logs of all transports.
· Participate in reporting and handling of crisis situations.
· Be knowledgeable in knowing hot to handle transports in an emergency and/ or issues arise.
· Maintain discipline following State guidelines.
· Monitor residents for a safe environment both inside/outside if the facility.
· Follow all applicable Policies and Procedures of Wayne Halfway House, Inc.
· Participate in the PQI Program as requested.
· Demonstrate competence in cultural knowledge, awareness, and sensitivity.
· Maintain all required training provided by the Facility.
· Maintain a clean driving record and valid Driver's License.
· Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by Wayne Halfway House, Inc.

Position: Transporter

Education and Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Valid drivers license required.
· Three years of experience in working with youth and/or coordinating events preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of standing, squatting, walking.
· Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
· Must pass a drug test.
