General Information:
The Career and Technical Education (CTE) specialist will assist the youth in preparing for a post-secondary education. They will work in conjunction with the CTE Intake Coordinator and Case Management.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Review the course offerings, enrollment procedures, and assist with FAFSA completion with the youth.
· Work with local education institutions to determine enrollment periods, proposed coursework, and enrollment requirements.
· Work with case management to identify remedial courses and assessments required.
· Assist the youth in creating a student success plan and transition plan.
· Perform related tasks in cooperation with the Program Director and in accordance with the requirements of the Provider Policy Manual and the Licensure Unit.
· Attend training and seminars as needed and to increase skills.
· Follow all applicable policies of Wayne Halfway House, Inc.
· Participate in the PQI program as requested.
· Demonstrate competence in cultural knowledge, awareness, and sensitivity.
· Perform any other job-related task as assigned by the Program Director.

Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with a major in social work, psychology, counseling, sociology, criminal justice, or a related field is preferred but not required.
· At least one year experience in an educational system and/or coordinating vocational services is preferred but not required.
NO FELONY CONVICTIONS. Must pass a drug screen and a Level 2 background check and maintain eligibility for continued employment.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
