General Responsibilities:
The Clinical Director is responsible for providing the therapeutic services and overseeing Master Level Therapists at a residential treatment facility and maintaining the required documentation.
Duties:
- Provide regular oversight to therapist providing therapeutic services for an individual caseload of clients.
- Seek and identify therapeutic trainings for therapist.
- Verify the intake process after admission to program to evaluate client’s physical or mental condition, based on review of available client information and interviews with client.
- Provide a clinical diagnosis for clients, as necessary, through use of DSM-5.
- Participate in Child and Family Team Meetings, as requested, and provide updates on treatment goals.
- Verify completed documentation for resident’s case records in a timely manner.
- Perform crisis interventions with clients, when necessary.
- Demonstrate competence in cultural knowledge, awareness, and sensitivity.
- Abide by the American Counseling Association’s Code of Ethics.
- Follow all applicable policies of Wayne Halfway House, Inc. and DCS standards.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
The Clinical Director must have a Master’s Level Degree from an accredited institution and must be a Licensed Therapist in the state of Tennessee.
NO FELONY CONVICTIONS. Must pass a drug screen and background check and maintain eligibility for continued employment.
