Job Details
Rural Community hospital located 2 hours from both Indianapolis and Columbus is looking for help in their OR.
The facility is looking for a Tech that can start ASAP.
Job Requirements
Need Ortho experience
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of patient care in the operating room (prepping, draping, positioning, moving etc.)
Demonstrates a working knowledge of surgical procedures and provides necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment.
Responsible for setting up and maintaining sterile fields.
Shared responsibility with the registered professional nurse for correct counts of instruments, sponges, needles, and sharps.
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of medications used during a surgical procedure and is responsible for accurate identification and labeling.
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of the handling of specimens.
Assist the surgery team with room turn over and preparation for procedures.
Knowledgeable and responsible for the use of correct implants / prostheses for each procedure.
Participates in the surgical site and patient verification during the timeout procedure.
Able to meet the physical demands of the position.
Ability to participate in current and future training programs in order to learn new functions necessary for the OR to provide new and improved services.
Schedule Information
4 - 8hr shifts
Will have call rotation
