- Answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, directing inquiries to the appropriate staff or department.
- Schedule appointments and manage the calendar effectively using systems such as Dentrix
- Maintain accurate patient records and files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
- Handle clerical tasks including data entry, filing, and managing correspondence.
- Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient processing of patient information and billing details.
- Communicate dental terminology clearly to assist patients with inquiries related to their care.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow and support overall office operations.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar administrative role is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental environments and dental terminology is advantageous.
- Strong clerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with patients and staff alike.
