Qualifications:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have the ability to learn how to accurately use and read measuring equipment such as rules, calipers, micrometers, and gages.
- Ability to comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to work the mathematical concepts such as adding, subtraction, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Performing routine inspections of manufacturing equipment.
- Effective communication, including speaking, writing, active listening, and taking instruction.
- Good leadership and training skills.
- Quick troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent mechanical skills, including comfort with using tools to make simple repairs.
- Great time management.
- Keen attention to detail to identify maintenance, product, or operations issues.
- Ability to stand, sit, or be in other physically demanding positions for long periods.
