Primary Purpose Of The Position:
Directs and oversees the overall policies, objectives and initiatives to achieve operational goals and cash flow targets. Reviews, designs and implements processes to optimize the revenue cycle and ensure compliance. Tracks metrics and reports that identify trends and makes recommendations and changes to improve performance when indicated. This position also assesses personnel and fiscal implications of organizational changes; assists staff in implementation of changes; monitors and analyzes the impact of change. Directs departmental sub-functions within departmental areas. Supports system-wide projects and initiatives that relate to system priorities, health care legislation and compliance, systems redesign, improve revenue, and/or reduced cost.
Reports to the CFO and assists with development of budgets, policies and procedures to support the functional infrastructures of assigned system entities. Develops deep knowledge of billing systems and business office functions within each entity.
- Requires a bachelor's degree in business, Masters preferred, or relative work experience in health care finances/accounting;
- Knowledgeable of health care financials including budgeting, 3rd party reimbursement processes and revenue cycle processes;
- Five years of manager experience or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Knowledgeable in state and federal regulations related to compliance in billing and reimbursement;
- Knowledgeable of computer applications related to business office functions and management;
- Prior supervisory/management experience preferred.
