What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st shift Laser Denesting position at Wayne Metals LLC?
Description:
Responsibilities:
- Pull manufactured parts/components from the laser machine and use a hand grinder to remove excess metal/material
- Operate steel loading crane or forklift to safely move material as necessary to the laser work cell
- Perform well in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency to meet scheduled daily goals
- Scrape dross, grind or sand parts as required
- Stage finished parts to be sent to the next station
- Take skeletons to the dumpster
Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull 1-50 lbs. frequently
- Capability to squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for 1-10 hours per day

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or equivalent training or work experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Repeated bending and lifting is required.
Knowledge of arithmetic.
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conform to all Wayne Metals, LLC environmental policies, programs and procedures.
- Conform to all State of Indiana laws and regulations.
- Report any environmental concerns to supervisor, Environmental Management Representative, or the Director of Manufacturing.
