POSITION SUMMARY : Responsible for the operation of production equipment to produce quality products meeting customer specifications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- B” OPERATOR has been trained to run some of the equipment, some jobs and can handle the daily data entry transactions.
- Under the direction of the shift manager or instruction of a team leader, the production operator will be assigned to run production equipment upon which he has been trained.
- The operator must have the ability to read, write and perform arithmetic. The operator is responsible for the production counts being reported accurately.
- Must maintain a safe, clean, orderly and hazard-free work area, promote safety at all times and have knowledge of all safety rules. Will be closely supervised on safety and quality.
- Must comply with Wayne Metals, LLC quality system requirements, defect / error prevention and waste reduction. Will be trained and use SPC systems in place for production operations. The production operator must follow the procedure for labor entry closely and advise his / her superior when there is a problem. 1st, Nth, last piece, and dual signature in process inspection.
- The operator is responsible for removing all old tags, move tickets, part identification of any kind from the container before starting to use it.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or equivalent training or work experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of arithmetic.
Knowledge of blueprint reading.
