We provide assistance to low to moderate income families to help address their most critical needs. The agency has over 70 programs, including valuable educational, housing, and emergency services.
Job Description:
Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency is looking for an information technology intern to provide support to the IT department. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in IT principles with attention to detail. In this role, you will gain experience and learn essential skills by assisting our team with IT maintenance, troubleshooting and other projects
No experience is necessary but you must be proficient with advanced computer programs and willing to learn.
Candidate will be introduced to not-for-profit Information Technology.
Qualifications
Interns Essential Functions:

Assist IT Specialists to Provide users with technical advice and support.

Assist IT Specialists to Inventory, provision and configure desktops, laptops, switches, wireless access points, and LTE hotspots.

Assist IT Specialists with Installing and configuring new software applications

Assist users with appropriate educational and training programs to ensure high quality

Maintain a positive attitude towards assigned work, clients, and staff, and a willingness to work with others.
Qualified candidates:
-
Obtaining a degree in communications, video production, marketing, or any other related field.

Passionate about content development and social media strategy

Ability to develop and manage creative strategy from start to finish
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in a professional office environment with a usually quiet noise level. This is largely a sedentary role and the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, frequently use hands and to talk or hear.
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma/general education degree (GED) OR a combination of education and experience that is similarly equivalent.
