Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our HR functions, including recruiting, performance management, training and development. This position requires a strong understanding of various HR policies and regulations.
This is a full-time onsite position with employer paid health insurance, life and disability insurance and retirement plan funding.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the go-to resource for employees and supervisors, to address routine inquiries and concerns, helping to resolve issues and enforce office policies and procedures.
- Support employee relations issues which may include investigation, documentation, or coordinating disciplinary actions.
- Facilitate employee recruitment by screening candidates, scheduling interviews and participating in the candidate selection process.
- Support onboarding activities which may include new employee orientation, drafting or editing job descriptions, job postings and review/editing of employee handbook.
- Oversee employee work schedules and approve/deny requests for time off.
- Enforce time and attendance, performance and office policies and procedures.
- Conduct new hire and annual employee training.
- Assist with maintaining employee records.
- Facilitate physician onboarding and credentialing.
- Administer employee benefits, including new hire enrollment and annual open enrollment.
- Track, maintain and update employee records and license expirations.
- Monitor employment law and regulation changes, updating policies as necessary to ensure compliance.
- Lead employee engagement efforts, including organizing company events and recognition programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field is preferred.
- 2-4 years experience in Human Resources.
- Proven experience in recruiting and human resources functions is essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate with diverse individuals and groups.
- Strong understanding of performance management processes and employee evaluation techniques, Federal and State laws, and employee benefits programs.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information tactfully and with discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, etc).
