Parts Manager

Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Parts Manager to oversee our parts department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive parts management, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to effectively manage inventory. This role is crucial in ensuring that our dealership runs smoothly and efficiently, providing top-notch service to our customers and supporting our equipment repair operations.

Duties

• Manage the daily operations of the parts department, including inventory control and supplier management.
• Oversee shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely delivery of parts and equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular audits to prevent discrepancies.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their parts inquiries and orders.
• Collaborate with the service department to ensure that necessary parts are available for equipment repairs.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to assist in automotive diagnostics and recommend appropriate parts for repairs.
• Fabricate or modify parts as needed to meet specific requirements or enhance functionality.
• Train and supervise staff within the parts department, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Develop relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure quality products.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a parts management role, preferably within a dealership or automotive environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand automotive diagnostics and equipment repair processes.
• Experience in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships with clients and suppliers.
• Ability to fabricate or modify parts as required for specific applications.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage inventory effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Familiarity with industry-standard software for inventory management is preferred.

Pay: $20.70 - $21.73 per hour
