Reports to : Deli Manager and Store Manager
Department : Deli
Position Summary : This position will wait on customers in the deli in a courteous manner and prepare orders to customers satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Slices, cuts, weighs, and prices merchandise in a courteous manner and prepares order to customer satisfaction.
- Fry chicken, make sandwich, salads, desserts, and entrees.
- Unload deli merchandise and transports stock to storage area.
- Always maintain shelves and keep cases filled.
- Control freshness by coding and rotating all products and remove out-of-date merchandise daily.
- Price all products legibly and according to price book.
- Maintain and promote new items and weekly specials.
- Communicate temperature failure of cases and storage area to manager in charge.
- Observe policies and procedures established for the department.
- Follow the dress code policy.
- Greet all customers and be observant.
- Maintain a regular cleaning and sanitation program in compliance with store, local, and state health regulations.
- Assist in preparation of foods.
- Promote trust and respect among associates.
- Display a positive attitude.
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
- Report all safety risks or issues and illegal activity including robbery, theft, or fraud.
