Wayne's Foods Plus is a small town family-owned grocery store since 1975. We have 3 locations in Danbury, Webster, and Luck Wisconsin.
Service Center Cashier
Reports to : Customer Service Manager, Store Manager, or Night Manager
Department : Grocery / Service
Position Summary : This position is responsible for providing and maintaining high standard of customer service throughout the front-end operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide customer service by greeting customers, assisting customers, responding to customer inquiries and their complaints.
- Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, debit cards, SNAP, EWIC or store charge.
- Issue receipts, refunds or change due to customers.
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
- Enforce security policies including company shoplifting policy, associate purchase policy and bottom of the basket policy.
- Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.
- Establish or identify prices of goods or services and tabulate bills using cash registers and optical price scanners.
- Answer customers’ questions and provide information on procedures or policies.
- Promote trust and respect among fellow co-workers.
- Display a positive attitude and greet all customers.
- Notify management of any customer or employee accidents.
- Report all safety risks or issues and illegal activity including robbery, theft, or fraud.
