Sr Project Engineer

PRIMARY FUNCTION : The Senior Project Engineer oversees capital projects while managing and monitoring all aspects of the project. He / she is responsible for planning, designing, budgeting, installing, managing contractors and vendors on assigned capital projects.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES :

• None. This is an individual contributor role with required competencies : Functional / Technical Skills, Action Oriented, Problem Solving, Learning on the Fly, and Interpersonal Savvy

EDUCATION and CERTIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management is preferred.
• Or related field.
• 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS :

• 5 years of project management within the industry or related fields
• Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook)
• Proficient with Autocad, BIM, and Navisworks
• Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written, ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, contractors, and other engineers in a timely and professional manner.
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects, planning skills, and high attention to detail
• Must be able to manage time wisely and balance workload
• Must have strong leadership and interpersonal abilities

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS :

• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
• Wear required protective equipment in all areas where mandatory

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

• Must be willing to travel weekly
• Ability to work weekends and holidays
• Ability to work in multiple environments (cold, humid, dry, dusty)
