Part-Time Faculty, Clinical Instructional Coach
Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Part-Time Faculty, Clinical Instructional Coach at its Detroit campus location.

Position Purpose:
Wayne State University College of Education's Teacher Education Division, Educational Partnerships and Experiences, is seeking experienced public PK-12 teachers of various subject areas to work as part-time Clinical Instructional Coaches with teaching interns in elementary, middle school, and/or high school classrooms for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Working with interns in paired placements (two interns assigned to the same classroom) who are utilizing a co-teaching model with their assigned mentor teachers
Observing interns co-teaching with mentor teacher and following with coaching conversations
Co-planning and coaching on lesson planning
Providing feedback and grading for course-related assignments
Working with digital video and tools for coaching
Working with digital tools for grading and course data
Participating in teaching of seminar course related to evidence-based highly leveraged teaching practices
Utilizing digital videos of teaching interns' practice and own coaching practice as part of shared inquiry into teaching, learning, and clinical coaching
Additional responsibilities include: engagement in collaborative coaching, engagement in clinical instruction team professional development and team meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Post Bachelor's degrees and/or endorsements for Part-Time Faculty Instructional Coaches.
Bachelor's Degree for Part-Time Faculty Instructional Assistants.
Experience teaching and advocacy in urban school context.
Experience in instructional coaching within multicultural school context.
Commitment to educational equity and the pursuit of social, emotional, and academic success of all school children.
Use of digital tools for planning, teaching, and coaching.
The use of an instructional coaching model for supporting teaching interns in growing their professional practice.
Experience with social and emotional learning skills development in the teaching and learning process.
Experience with culturally responsive teaching practices.
