Duties
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions by organizing case files and gathering necessary documents.
- Conduct legal research.
- Draft and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Manage case files and maintain accurate records within the law office’s database.
- Coordinate project management tasks related to ongoing litigation cases.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information pertinent to cases.
- Ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines throughout the litigation process.
Experience
- 5 years experience as a paralegal or in a similar role within a Florida law office setting is required.
- Familiarity with Florida personal injury law is required.
- Proficient in legal drafting and proofreading with attention to detail.
- Strong data entry skills with experience using legal software.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for client interaction and collaboration with attorneys.
