Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Petroleum Hauler to join our team at Wayne Transports,Inc. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for delivering petroleum-based products in bulk via semi-truck and trailer to various customer locations.
About the Role
This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires strong logistical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. You will work closely with dispatchers, customers, and loaders to ensure seamless delivery of products while maintaining a safe working environment.
Main Responsibilities
* Loading petroleum products at refineries, ethanol plants, and bulk storage facilities
* Unloading petroleum products at numerous customer locations such as gas stations, airports, refineries, and bulk storage facilities
* Ability to pump on and off petroleum and ethanol products using a Power Take Off
* Dropping, hooking, and connecting trailers to semi-truck
* Hooking up hoses and fittings to load and unload these petroleum products safely and securely
* Checking customer tank levels prior to unloading to make sure tanks do not fill past 90% ullage
* Properly using vapor recovery hose at all loading and unloading locations
* Reaching, pulling, and pushing petroleum hoses weighing up to 50 lbs
* Climbing up ladder on trailer to check tank and levels and make sure the load is secured
* The maximum weight the ladder can accommodate is 450 pounds with a 200-pound at the top of the trailer
* Climbing in and out of Semi-Truck using 3 points of contact
* Loading exactly what petroleum products, appropriate quantities, and correct suppliers on all loads per dispatch instructions
Requirements
* Valid Class A - CDL driver's license with tanker and hazmat endorsement
* Approved medical card via DOT certified doctor, PA, Chiropractor
* DOT 49 CFR 171-180 formerly HM-126 training
Physical Requirements
* Lifting up to 50 lbs. Stooping, bending, twisting, pulling, grasping
* Climbing, Prolonged sitting
