Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Petroleum Driver to join our team at Wayne Transports, Inc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering petroleum-based products in bulk, transporting them via semi-truck and trailer, and unloading products at various customer locations.
Responsibilities
- Loading petroleum products at refineries, ethanol plants, and bulk storage facilities.
- Unloading petroleum products at numerous customer locations such as gas stations, airports, refineries, and bulk storage facilities.
- Pumping on and off petroleum and ethanol products using a Power Take Off.
- Dropping, hooking, and connecting trailers to semi-truck.
- Hooking up hoses and fittings to load and unload these petroleum products safely and securely.
- Checking customer tank levels prior to unloading to ensure tanks do not fill past 90% ullage.
- Properly using vapor recovery hose at all loading and unloading locations.
- Reaching, pulling, and pushing petroleum hoses weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Climbing up the ladder on the trailer to check tank and levels and make sure the load is secured.
- Loading exactly what petroleum products, appropriate quantities, and correct suppliers on all loads per dispatch instructions.
- Maintaining general conversations in English with dispatchers, customers, and loaders to accommodate their needs.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Suooping, bending, twisting, pulling, grasping.
- Climbing, Prolonged sitting.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL driver's license with tanker and hazmat endorsement.
- Approved medical card via DOT certified doctor, PA, Chiropractor.
- DOT 49 CFR 171-180 formerly HM-126 training.
Work Schedule
The position offers a flexible schedule of either Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday.
Compensation
$80,000 to $120,000 per year.
