The Lab Technician Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory department. Key responsibilities include collecting blood samples, processing specimens, and delivering them to the laboratory for testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient interaction and preparation for specimen collection
- Collection and processing of blood samples using approved techniques
- Delivery of specimens to the laboratory for testing
- Answering phones and receiving orders for testing
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and terminology.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Successful completion of a phlebotomy course
- Certification from an accredited agency (e.g. NPA, ASCP) required
- At least 1 year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Assistant
