The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and management of air compressor repair and maintenance services for our clients. This includes supervising a team of technicians, ensuring high-quality repair services, managing schedules, inventory, and customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of air compressors, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Team Management and Supervision:
· Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of air compressor technicians to ensure efficient and high-quality service.
· Provide training, mentorship, and professional development to staff to enhance their technical skills and customer service.
· Delegate tasks based on individual technician strengths and workload.
· Prepare and present regular reports on service performance, team productivity, and customer satisfaction to upper management.
Service Coordination and Scheduling:
· Plan, schedule, and coordinate air compressor repair jobs for clients to optimize technician time and ensure timely service delivery.
· Monitor job progress to ensure repairs are completed within scheduled timeframes and meet customer expectations.
· Manage emergency repair requests, ensuring swift and efficient response to customer needs.
· Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and ensure timely and cost-effective solutions.
Technical Oversight and Troubleshooting:
· Oversee and assist technicians in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing air compressors.
· Ensure that repairs are done according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
· Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in air compressor technology and repair techniques.
· Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
Inventory and Parts Management:
· Manage inventory of air compressor parts and tools, ensuring sufficient stock is available for repairs.
· Order replacement parts as needed and ensure they meet the required specifications.
· Maintain accurate inventory records and track parts usage to minimize waste and maximize operational efficiency.
· Collaborate with suppliers to maintain good working relationships and secure competitive pricing.
Customer Relationship Management:
· Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding air compressor repairs and services.
· Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns, providing repair recommendations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
· Communicate clearly with customers about repair timelines, costs, and any potential issues.
· Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and resolve any outstanding issues.
Safety and Compliance:
· Ensure that all repairs and service procedures are performed safely and in compliance with industry standards, local regulations, and company policies.
· Conduct regular safety audits and enforce safety practices among the team.
· Maintain proper documentation for all service calls, repairs, and safety procedures.
· Address and resolve any safety-related incidents promptly.
Continuous Improvement:
· Identify areas for process improvements and implement best practices to streamline service operations.
· Collect customer feedback and use it to improve service quality and customer relations.
· Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
· Meets goals set forth by Directors and/or President
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required). Associate’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field (preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in air compressor repair, maintenance, or a related technical field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Skills:

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
