Accounting/Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a Payroll and AP Specialist to join our team at Waypoint Detailed Delivery. This role will be responsible for managing payroll and accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of employees and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Must have Knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and online version.
• Provide all A/P & A/R functions
• Reconcile statements and invoicing from Clients and manage minor vendor statements
• Reconcile company credit card statements and ensure all receipts are scanned and filed electronically
• Complete assigned balance sheet account reconciliations

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance

Job Taska and Responsibilities

• Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll via online payroll application, following protocols to ensure confidentiality.
• Oversee and execute the accounts' payable function and maintain a high level of ethics, integrity and diplomacy.
• Record incoming cash and credit card transactions.
• Support CEO and Owner in month-end closing processes.
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
• Maintain reconciliations for general ledger accounts and complete journal entries.
• Maintain the accounting/payroll processes and procedures manual to ensure the department has a documented account of tasks and responsibilities.
• Provide all A/P & A/R functions
• Special projects as requested and/or other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, skills and Abilities:

Thorough understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures.

Knowledge of accounting software required experience with QuickBooks.

Knowledge of payroll systems required; experience with ADP or similar systems preferred.

Proficiency with MS Office products

Candidates must have experience working with confidential information, have strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and be detail-oriented and Are detail-oriented and meticulous in their work.

Benefits:

Part Time, Hourly position

$23.00-$30.00 hr. based on experience
