What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Manager position at Waypoint Detailed Delivery?
Waypoint Detailed Delivery is seeking a Field Manager.
Reports to: Director of Operations
Supervises: Assigned location staff around the Dubuque, IA Location (Dubuque, IA, Columbia, MO. Carlinville, Il).
Salary is commensurate with experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as primary liaison to site locations
1st point of communication for all situations regarding site locations
Ambassador for the Waypoint brand
Behave professionally at all times
Exercise good judgment and communicate accordingly
Complete any daily data entry in Waypoint software and client software
Create work orders
Optimize daily workload in Waypoint logistics optimization software
Assign routes/orders to drivers (or oversee the process)
Work with designated client personnel as needed to ensure a successful partnership
Assist to create any SOP documents related to the account and enforce them when in place
update, implement, and communicate procedural changes as needed.
Maintain confidentiality at all times. This includes company, client, and client customer/patient confidentiality
STAFFING
Provide leadership to drivers reporting directly to you (staff)
Lead by example and exhibit exemplary work habits
Train staff on all client procedures/equipment
Treat Waypoint staff with respect at all times
(Re-)educate and/or discipline staff in a courteous and professional manner
Relay staffing needs
Assist with onboarding process
Dispense corporate property as needed
Create staff shift and on-call (where applicable) schedules to ensure all work is completed
Manage staff time system as it applies to Missed/incorrect punches and PTO requests.
Ensuring the company's labor needs are met
Staff call-offs
Arrange for and communicate alternate staffing to ensure all work is accounted for
Ensure that staff:
Follow and adhere to all corporate, DOT, OSHA and other regulatory agency policies and procedures.
Complete all required paperwork/electronic documentation accurately, legibly, and in a timely manner
Communicate regularly with logistics department upon arrival and before departure from each stop in accordance with the Waypoint Conversations training document
OTHER
Manage local vehicle maintenance program and work with operations manager to arrange vehicle repairs
Report incident immediately to Operations Director
Coordinate towing and or vehicle/driver retrieval in the case of a breakdown or accident
Communicate with logistics staff regarding operational impact of any emergency incident
Oversee staff ride-along and/or audits
Any assigned duties which advance and grow the mission of the company through detailed work, diligent efforts and a positive and energetic attitude
Back up delivery staff
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Satisfactory driving record
Valid driver's license
Clean criminal background and drug screen
Capable of working independently
Excellent oral communication skills
Ability to read and follow detailed, specific instructions and/or exercise good judgment by asking questions
Ability to review facts, make appropriate decisions and convey correct and detailed information to staff and management
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to drive in all types of weather, including occasionally inclement weather (wind, rain, snow). Additional considerations and determinations are made based on each situation.
Safely drive for extended periods of time
Walk, sit, stand, reach, bend, as necessary
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds without injury or accident
