Position Summary: We are seeking a versatile individual who can lead data-driven initiatives and customer outreach to enroll CRE properties into utility-funded energy efficiency programs. As an Energy Efficiency Specialist, you will play a crucial role in collecting, analyzing, and managing utility data, facilitating ENERGY STAR certifications, ensuring compliance with local benchmarking requirements, and supporting sustainability programs.
Primary responsibilities include a balance of customer outreach and data management. You will aggregate and analyze utility data to identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements, support certification and compliance efforts, and enroll CRE customers in innovative, utility-funded energy efficiency programs. Outreach efforts will involve developing and executing campaigns via phone, email, and occasional in-person meetings or events to engage and enroll new customers.

Responsibilities:
- Work with the Manager to develop targeted lists of prospect companies and individuals.
- Conduct cold and warm outreach to utility customers pursuing energy efficiency projects and utility incentives.
- Develop and execute outreach strategies within the CRE industry to enroll new customers in utility-funded energy efficiency programs.
- Coordinate with utility account executives to increase adoption and implementation of energy-efficient upgrades.
- Collect, aggregate, and analyze utility data to identify energy efficiency opportunities and trends.
- Support ENERGY STAR certifications and assist with compliance efforts related to local benchmarking requirements.
- Create market research reports for customer segments within a given utility service territory.
- Occasionally draft client-facing deliverables, including reports and presentations.
- Log all activity in CRM, ensuring clean and detailed data.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in data management, outreach, or sales, with a history of exceeding targets.
- Background in energy, sustainability, or commercial real estate fields is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with utility data, including ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager or similar tools.
- Familiarity with local benchmarking compliance requirements is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in cold/warm calling.
- Comfortable working from home and meeting virtually or in person.
- Experience with Salesforce or HubSpot preferred but not required.

Compensation: Annual salary range: $50,000 - $60,000 commensurate with experience as well as competitive benefits and stock options
