Position Title: Desk Officer Position Type: Full-time Position Location: Tysons Corner, VA Clearance: TS/SCI
Responsibilities:
Responsible for tracking and often addressing, all aspects of the program’s activities in a host nation country
Serving as the front-line point of contact for host nation officials and technicians
Coordinating the program’s response to host nation questions and requests providing briefings for the program’s senior staff and other USG partners participating in engineering and development activities to assist with product and process improvement
Preparing for, executing, and completing the final wrap-up for TDY missions to host nations
TDY missions play a central, critical role in the overall functioning of the program, and as such, Desk Officers serve in an equally critical role for all TDYs, and this position requires travel to international locations. TDY-specific duties (before, during, and after each TDY) include
Planning the technical and administrative aspects of each TDYs managing and overseeing the training and technical staff preparation coordinating logistics staging and testing equipment serve as the primary point of contact and liaison for the team with the host nation technical personnel during TDYs
Manage and coordinate the execution of the approved deployment/installation plan, including oversight of all team personnel
Provide day-to-day management of all technical tasking and set the schedule for the day’s events
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years supporting an Intelligence customer, either as a contractor or as a government employee, to include a combination of TDY and CONUS support
Prior experience reviewing and drafting customer correspondence
Excellent communication, coaching, and team-building skills
Candidates must be available to travel internationally as needed to meet mission requirements
Desired Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have both a technical and a management background and will be experienced at managing complex teams, both CONUS and in the field
Required Education:
A bachelor's degree or experience in lieu of degree
