What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bar Manager / taproom manager position at Waypoint Spirits?
Waypoint Spirits is a Distillery in Bloomfield, CT. We are looking for a candidate to run the taproom.
- Hours for this job are Wednesday – Friday 2pm till 10pm, Saturday 11am till 10pm, and Sunday 10am till 7pm. The taproom is closed Monday and Tuesday.
- Open and close the taproom. Including but not limited to turning on or off all equipment and lights, setting up and breaking down the bar for service, stocking the bar and taproom, checking restrooms for cleanliness, and all other duties associated with taking care of the guests that visit the taproom
- Scheduling the taproom staff. Including bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff.
- Ordering all items for the kitchen, food, beverage, paper goods, and any other items needed by the taproom
- Planning and scheduling private and semiprivate events for guests. We do not take reservations, however we do take custom events for parties of 20-100. Each event package is custom and the menu and bar package needs to be planned and executed.
- Create and maintain the menu offerings for the taproom, including bar cocktails and food offerings
- Job requires bartending, serving tables, and light cooking and prep in the kitchen. Financial compensation is between salary and tipped income
