A Family Support Specialist is needed full-time for the Parenting Plus Program in Manchester, NH. Family Support Specialists offer direct services through home visits to families. They also collaborate with schools, state agencies, medical providers, and social service agencies to meet families' needs. In addition to one-on-one sessions, staff will lead group activities and participate in Manchester Family Resource Center events at Waypoint. Reflective supervision supports the Family Support Specialist's work.

Minimum Requirements :

  • BS or BA degree preferred and 1 to 2 years of home visiting, infant / toddler development, and parenting education.
  • Associate Degree Required
  • The ability to complete paperwork timely and effectively
  • Strong verbal, written and face-to-face communication skills.
  • Computer Skills and Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel is required. Previous experience with Office 365 and SharePoint desired.
  • Following confidentiality policies regarding client sensitive information, Waypoint Technology Policies and adhering to Waypoint’s Hybrid Model.
  • Successful motor vehicle check and criminal check with no history of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
  • Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record, reliable transportation, and liability insurance coverage that meets the minimum requirements of P,000 / $100,000.

Abilities Needed :

  • Ability to respect clients from a variety of backgrounds and situations.
  • Ability to keep good records and write treatment plans.
  • Ability to manage complex cases.
  • Ability to travel within the state to provide home visits with possible transportation of clients and / or family to and from.
  • Ability to collaborate with peers, Leadership and the Team for Program changes or case related client care.
  • Be flexible with schedule to meet family's needs.
