What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier/Receptionist position at Wayside Furniture?
Key Responsibilities (training to be provided):
- Utilizing the phone system to answer all incoming phone calls, route multi-line calls, as well as document and deliver messages to staff in a timely manner
- Greeting customers and answering their questions
- Facilitating the payment process when a customer makes a deposit or purchase
- Documenting notes into the internal Wayside system to keep a record of customer conversations and decision outcomes
Requirements:
- Friendly
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
- Excellent listening skills and patience
- Sincere desire to help people
- Willing to work Saturday and/or Sunday hours
Helpful (but not required):
- Retail experience
- Basic computer and phone skills
