What are the responsibilities and job description for the Primary Therapist position at Wayside House Inc?
Seeking full-time therapist for a Residential Treatment Program for established Substance Use Disorder Program founded in 1974. Must be flexible and able to work Saturday/Sunday rotation and participate in on-call clinical rotation. Licensed preferred (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT) however master’s level graduates who are registered interns with the State of Florida and working on their licensing hours are also welcome to apply. Experience in treating substance use disorders, mental and eating disordered is preferred.

The mission of Wayside House, is to be a healing environment that helps women with drug and alcohol dependence by providing them with tools to rebuild their lives, reconnect with loved ones and recover from active addiction.
What You'll Do:
- Responsible for carrying a caseload of 10 clients
- Provide Individual Therapy and Family Therapy
- Provide Group Therapy
- Responsible for documenting according to DCF licensure requirements under pt. IV, Ch. 394, F.S., Ch. 397, F.S., and ch 65D-30, F.A.C., The Joint Commission and SEFBN and other contractor agencies.
- Responsible for determining client’s diagnosis based on diagnostic DSM 5 criteria.
- Must have knowledge of ASAM Criteria and able to conduct level of care assessment.
- Must be able to assess for Substance Use Disorders, Eating Disorders, and Mental Health.
- Must have experience in assessing for suicidality risk and provide appropriate interventions.
- Performs administrative duties related to intake activities.
- Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum of a Master's Degree in Mental Health, Social Work, or related field Must have a minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience.
- Demonstrates proficiency and effectiveness in verbal and written communication
- Ability to work with culturally diverse groups and individuals in order to facilitate participation toward common goals and objectives
- Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with all community partnerships
- Strong organizational skills and ability to problem-solve
- Working knowledge of Excel and Word computer programs
- Must successfully complete all criminal background screens annually
