Job Summary
- Prepare monthly journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and assist with the preparation of financial statements.
- Support the CFO and leadership team by preparing budget comparison and variance reports.
- Assist in maintaining accurate balance sheets and income statements.
- Responsible for managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Support collection efforts and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Participate in cash flow analysis and assist with daily cash management functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Assist in the payroll process in partnership with the Office Manager and HR Director.
- Monitor departmental expenses and partner with managers to support adherence to budgets.
- Help track licenses, permits, and other recurring financial obligations.
- Participate in timely and accurate month-end close procedures.
- Work collaboratively across departments to improve financial processes and internal controls.
- Assist with special projects, financial analysis, or audits as assigned by the CFO.
- Support accurate year-end reporting (1099s, Form 8027, etc.).
- Attend management meetings and contribute to cross-functional discussions as needed.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and general ledger management.
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial data.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while also thriving in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work flexible hours during peak deadlines or month-end close.
- Self-motivated, personable, and eager to contribute to a fun and engaging company culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred; CPA a plus but not required.
- Able to work weekends and holidays as required to meet deadlines.
