ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The roles consist of managing a small number of client relationships, ensuring superior client service and the delivery of accurate information in a timely fashion. The Vice President - Fund Accounting will have responsibility for their clients’ portfolios from start to finish. This will include (but is not limited to) the following:
- Build a relationship with the stakeholders of the funds
- Manage a team of fund accountants including training and professional development
- Manage daily, weekly, monthly and annual client deliveries including reconciliations, Net Asset Values and year-end reporting
- Calculation and review of Net Asset Values in line with the clients’ requirements
- Manage client-specific requests and define projects to develop processes to improve the product offering
- Preparation and review of financial statements, supporting information and tax schedules in relation to the year-end audit
- Understanding of fund structures, investment strategies, management and performance fee calculations, profit/loss allocation and currency class hedging.
Experience:
- 8 years’ experience in Fund Accounting, preferably in Hedge
- Minimum 4 years’ previous managerial experience
- Financial Reporting experience an advantage
Education:
- A university degree (B.A./ B.Sc./ M.B.A.) in Business (preferably specializing in accountancy or another financial-related discipline)
- An internationally recognized accounting designation (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent), is not required but is an advantage
