Primary Purpose: Lead efforts to enhance the quality of life of individuals served in Residential Services. Facilitate agency training efforts for staff and persons served
Essential Functions:
- Maintain up-to-date information and ensure programmatic compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements to provide high quality care.
- Assist in the development and revision of policies/procedures as needed/when applicable
- Implement regular program audits and work with the Vice President to implement follow-up Quality Improvement Plans to ensure compliance and high quality of services.
- Ensure trainings for all staff are completed, current and communicated when trainings are due.
- Complete all yearly trainings for individuals served
- Fire Safety, Human Rights, Handbook, Grievance, Anti-Harassment, and any other specific trainings determined by team
- Work with other departments to adapt/revise yearly trainings based on the current needs of the individuals
- Complete and maintain “Train the Trainer” certifications in First/Aid CPR, Safety care, Human Right and any others requested by your supervisor.
- Maintain Self-Advocacy groups throughout programs
- Hold monthly Self-Advocacy meetings at all programs
- Create curriculum for monthly Human Rights training in programs
- Assist in the coordination, distribution and analysis of Satisfaction Surveys to assist with the summary of the survey
- Assist with the maintenance of company/state database, including the electronic health care records and our state database.
Other Duties:
- Assist in the coordination of Human Rights meetings, minutes and communication
- Attend staff meetings as needed for trainings
- Participate in self-advocacy efforts within departments
- Attend various trainings as needed

- Attend quarterly Safety Committee meetings

- Participate in PBS, Crisis Response and other agency committees
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Three years of experience in Human Services, two in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities in a supervisory capacity
- Bachelor’s Degree (4 yr. Degree) in Human Services or related field. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, an Associate’s degree and 2 (two) years of experience in I/DD
- Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills
- Two years of experience as a staff trainer (Human Services preferred)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
